About WDA
Michigan's Home of Steel Tip Darts
The Wolverine Dart Association is one of the longest running steel tip dart leagues in the United States as recognized by the American Dart Organization. Now in our 50th year (founded in 1976), the league runs 2 seasons per year, Spring and Fall.
Each season consists of 14 weeks of Tuesday Night Matches and 2 Hi-Lo Doubles Nights. At the conclusion of each season, an Awards Banquet and Luck-of-the-Draw tournament is held for all participating players.
The Wolverine Dart Association is open to everyone regardless of any other league affiliation. We welcome players from beginning players to seasoned veterans. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions.
We play traditional steel tip darts on bristle boards, keeping the classic game alive the way it has been played for generations.
Every match is officiated fairly. Disputes are resolved clearly. We play by the rules.
We're a league of regulars. We celebrate the wins, commiserate the losses, and show up week after week.
Wins, losses, legs, win percentage — every stat is tracked and visible to all players.
How It Started
WDA is founded by a small group of dart enthusiasts at a local Michigan pub. Weekly matches start informally between a handful of teams.
The league grows to 10+ teams and multiple venues. A formal ruleset is adopted and season records start being kept.
WDA expands across greater Michigan, adding new pub partners and introducing end-of-season playoff tournaments.
The league moves online with the WDA website, bringing real-time standings, player stats, and schedule tracking to all members.
WDA continues to grow, welcoming new players and teams every season. The community is stronger than ever.
